What are NAABB strains?

The National Alliance for Advanced Biofuels and Bio-products (NAABB), a consortium of universities, research institutions, and companies funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, has made 30 of their best performing strains available to the public through UTEX. These strains are well characterized for lipid production and growth kinetics.

This strain is one of the few available from the NAABB that do not require a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) before purchasing. Please note that this strain is kept in cryopreservation and would require a minimum of 4 weeks before delivery.
