UTEX will be closed on Monday, May 25th, in observance of the US holiday, Memorial Day.

The University of Texas at Austin will remain closed through Tuesday, Jan. 27. All classes and events are cancelled due to inclement weather conditions. All UT Austin facilities in Central Texas will be closed.
Upcoming Holiday Closure: 2026 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
UTEX will be closed on Monday, January 19, in observance of the U.S. holiday Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Day. Algae Express orders placed between Friday, January 16, and Monday, January 19, as well as regular orders scheduled for that week, will ship on Tuesday, January 20.
2025 Winter Holiday Closure
UTEX will be closed for the 2025 Winter Holiday Break from December 23rd, 2025 through January 4, 2026.
