UTEX provides a suite of analytical services for the identification and biochemical characterization of microalgae.

Advanced biochemical services are available for the characterization of algae. Strain Identification is achieved through microscopy, DNA barcoding and sequencing methods. The analysis of microalgal biomass includes common metrics such as culture dry weight (DW), ash-free dry weight (AFDW), and moisture content, as well as the bulk analysis of proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, and metabolic profiling of substituents. For more information, please submit an inquiry form for Biochemical Analysis.
